LEAP OF FAITH
Leap of Faith. September 2017. It’s a 4000-year-old dance: young men attempting to evade a charging bull in the most artistic manner possible. We follow Eusebio Sacristán (27) and Saúl Rivera (27) two of Spain’s modern day “Recortadores” – or bull leapers – into the Plaza de Toros arena in Madrid as they leap over several 1200-pound-bulls to impress the judges at the national championship 2017. All Recortadores are amateurs who risk their lives to keep the tradition of Bull Jumping (the animals don’t get hurt) alive.
