My Mother's Struggle With Alzheimer's Disease. January 2015. One from a series documenting the photographer's mother's struggle with Alzheimer's Disease and more recently, attempting to help her recover peacefully from injuries sustained due to elder abuse and neglect. We surround her with all of the things she loves most. Family, music, affection, love. She still hears us singing, she knows she is loved. I know this because she wiggles her toes. She is now in her final days and my family and I are helping to keep her comfortable until she is finally peaceful forever.
