Arti Mentoring Riya. February 2015. Members of the Yuwa soccer team in a remote rural village in Jharkhand, India, where 6 out of 10 girls drop out of school and become child brides. Arti 13 (left) is mentoring Riya (9) in reading. Reading classes and regular soccer practice are part of the regular program at Yuwa. Girls that compete in team sports have nearly perfect attendance in school.
