Where the Rivers Flow Through
Rio Bacaja, Altamira Region, Para State, Brazil. Where the Rivers Flow Through. June 2015. This work explores the dam boom that is transforming Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest and the lives of people who live there. The third largest dam in the world, Belo Monte, is near completion in the heart of Indigenous territory on the Xingu River. On the neighboring Tapajos River, the Munduruku tribe are fighting to prevent a similar fate as the next Mega Dam is already planned.
