This series covers the funeral of murdered NYPD police officer Wenjian Liu, the first Chinese American NYPD officer to die on duty. Many NYPD officers turned their backs to Mayor De Blasio amidst ongoing tensions and nationwide protests against police brutality. Thousands of officers from all over the US and Canada, attended the funeral in the diverse Dyker Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn.
