And now it’s also home to a $100 million luxury ski resort, a “pleasure project” of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un’s. Dubious endeavor? Indeed. Our correspondents are among the first ever to ride its lifts. Here, they visit another costly Kim Jong-un “pleasure project,” the Munsu Water Park. Meanwhile, only 16 percent of households have “acceptable food consumption,” according to a 2013 World Food Programme report.
