Neehaari from India. IN/VISIBLE. June 2014. Committed photographer Ann-Christine Woehrl took her camera and accompanied women survivors of acid and arson attacks in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Uganda. Her sensitive portraits ask the viewer to recognize these women, who have been excluded and thus made invisible, as individuals beyond their collective stigma.
