UNFAIR, Illinois State Fair (Sweeper), 2012. A personal project photographing 7 State Fairs throughout the Midwest. The fairs were, in order, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois (Springfield), Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota. In an attempt to discover some deeper cultural truth in each fair's particular demographic, I discovered instead my own approach to photography and how it is distilled through whatever subject I'm seeing.
