Portraits at Heartbreak Hill. The 2013 Boston Marathon will be remembered for the explosions at the finish line and the injuries and trauma that they caused. But not to be forgotten are the runners themselves, whose grit and determination are the very centerpiece of the race. I had the pleasure of photographing the elite runners as they met the greatest challenge of the race, Heartbreak Hill. My assignment was for Running Times Magazine.
