Free Syrian Army Sniper Nest. As the war in Syria scorches the landscape and lives of Syrians in Aleppo, boys and men turn away from their old lives to pick up arms to fight the Syrian regime. Many who were once college students, bakers, and mechanics are now fighters at the front lines of battles throughout the city. These men, young and old, have been consumed by perpetual gun fire, bombings and artillery shelling, and their cause carries them throughout the days and nights. This existence leads to not only brotherhood and camaraderie, but also to loneliness and isolation.
