Mongolia's economy is undergoing a dramatic transformation, from sheep and goat herding to international mining. Over the last decade the capital Ulaanbaatar’s population has grown from 650,000 to well over a million. Every day nomads are giving up their mobile lifestyle to pitch their "gers" on the hills surrounding the city.
