Żarłok (read as “Zhar-wok”) is a Polish word describing someone who devours food greedily. It carries a slightly grotesque tone — stronger than simply calling someone a “food lover.”
I created this poster one very dark evening, when I really, really, really wanted a burger — but I knew very well that devouring one at 11 p.m. was not my brightest idea. So instead, I decided to channel all that hunger and craving into this illustration, which I later developed into a poster.
The illustration was executed entirely with traditional media, using professional markers and fineliners — the best tools for late-night doodling.
