Xuanwu died in Chinatown Part.3

This triptych explores conflict, greed, and a clash of authority and tradition. Xuanwu is a two-headed monster (a tortoise and a snake) who helped Yu the Great to stop the great flood, but failed. In this piece, Xuanwu appeared deceased at the heart of Chinatown, causing a flood of conflicts amongst the police and the residents.

This series of animations manifests my experience traversing through conflicts within my parents’ marriage and this suffocating environment of love. From attempting to mask my emotions to finding distractions, these abstract work pieces meditate and reflect on my personal growth and destruction through these delicate relationships.
