The illustration is a personal piece created for the exhibition "Dialogue of Error" (Salzamt, Linz, Austria). It stems from a feeling of informational overstimulation. We navigate a noisy, dystopian world where an endless flow of information fuels constant overstimulation. The harsh realities of war and climate collapse blend with entertaining cat videos and social media disruptions, mixing serious truths with viral trivialities. In this streaming chaos, balance is crucial: stay informed without becoming overwhelmed, recharge to keep moving forward, and protect your energy as a form of quiet strength. Small hints are scattered throughout the image, including references to dystopian literature, a snippet of a poem by Audre Lorde, signs of current political shifts toward authoritarianism, climate change, and demands to cope with this overwhelming situation.
