In 2025, Matt Hebermehl collaborated with author Richard Lange to create Asphodel, a series of ten call-and-response pairings between drawing and writing. The collaboration unfolded in two parts: Hebermehl initiated the first five works with drawings that Lange answered in text, while the final five began with Lange’s writings and concluded with Hebermehl’s visual responses.
