Northbound
Northbound is a narrative illustration project exploring migration, institutional control, and the illusion of mobility. Inspired by North Korean–run restaurants abroad, it follows a waitress whose physical displacement does not lead to freedom. Through restrained scenes and mixed-media surfaces, the work examines proximity without access.
