The nature of our national parks
I created these illustrations for a 144-page children’s book featuring all U.S. national parks. The goal was to convey the grandeur and diversity of landscapes through rich flora and fauna. The main character is the author as a traveler and editor, whose jacket gradually fills with patches as a visual narrative. I wanted the book to appeal to both children and adults who love nature and travel. The illustrations use a soft, grainy texture, limited color palettes, and leave space for dense text.
