I Thought We Were Not in the System
Three anthropomorphized piglets loiter in front of a butcher’s stall, performing their own “humanity.” They believe that through cultivated transformation, they no longer belong to the same category as the meat on the chopping block.
The work presents a common psychological mechanism: individuals, by distinguishing themselves through identity and form, position themselves as “exceptions” within a cruel system, thereby avoiding confronting the unease about their own situation.
