Retreating from Race
With the new US administration rolling back on DEI policies, charities and philanthropic organisations are now pushed to eliminate references to race in applications and formal documents. Many grant makers have tweaked their websites so they don’t refer to race, and have asked grantees to rewrite their program descriptions so they don’t include terms like “Black,” “Diversity,” or” Underrepresented.”
