North Beach Sighting. September 2021. Every time I visit North Beach, San Francisco’s Italian neighborhood, I have a hankering for cannolis. While I was waiting to cross the busy Columbus Avenue to reach Cavalli café across the street, I saw this very poised, faux leather coat clad lady pass by. Her perfectly coiffed blue hair was blowing in the wind. I had to sketch her. The cannoli could wait!
