Remembering RBG
Remembering RBG. September 2020. I drew this portrait of the late US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the day of her passing, while reflecting on her life and legacy.
The portrait frames her words as her jabot, two things she is known for. Her powerful words paved the way for women’s equality before the law and in society. She was also known for her signature collars, which themselves spoke volumes and carried meaning.
It was featured in the New York Times as part of a series of reader tributes.
