Smalls. December 2017. This work is part of a collection of sculptures in my book, Object Subject, that features narratives and photographs of sculptures that play on the contrast between the objects I cherished as a child and the objects I currently relate to as an adult. While my more “innocent” objects may remind viewers of child-like play, my adult objects may evoke ideas of exploitation. The materials and methods that I used in the realization of the final works were not pre-conceived and my process was open-ended and overall experimental.
