Crisp Line. Crown an Ode to the Fresh Cut. October 2017. The story of how a haircut makes one feel. It is a celebration of the barbershop culture. "Crown" is currently on nineteen best of 2017 lists and has received four starred reviews. My work on this project has already won everal awards including a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators, as well as Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, and Ezra Jack Keats Honors.
