Girl in a patterned shirt . January 2017. This portrait is part of my series of oil paintings where figures are placed in abstracted space and their gaze is turned away from a viewer. Doubling, mirroring, repetition and patterns are elements that create narratives in my work. I investigate themes of personal identity, duality and shifting perceptions.
