Nekomata

Nekomata. October 2016. "Night Parade of 100 Demons" for Northern Contemporary Gallery. For this painting I tapped into my dog Betty's fear of cats. Nekomata has a double fireball tail for delivering twice the whiplashes. The parameters for the show: create a white demon on black square facing left for display in the gallery that mimicked a parade, based on the Japanese folklore Hyakki Yagyo.
