"Histories" personal piece
Blacklivesmatter, black boy, America. "Histories" . March 2016. A young child’s hands beholds the eternal sands of time in this sgraffito painting in black and white French inks. Swaddled within a peacock feather, this young spirit embodies all that beauty in innocence offers. Gazing forward to the future where the abstracted eagle rises up, they embrace their love and respect for heritage all the while lucky elephants with upward trunk and flowers dance below them in play. All children possess unconditional hope for a beautiful destiny as they deserve. What histories will we create for them?
