Smokers outside Timboo's bar
Smokers Outside Timboo's Bar. May 2014. Timboo's bar was one of the wonderful relics that had survived from the old New York. The geriatric smokers seemed to complement the archaic state of the bar. It closed shortly after I painted this and is now a generic sports bar, which seems to sum up the way New York is (over) developing. The painting is a personal piece and is part of an on going body of work that I intend to exhibit.
