Winter Scene

Winter Scene. This is a self directed project. It is a part of a series I created on the topic of time, memory, and change. These images eventually served as cornerstones for the visual narrative picture book Stray A While, my MFA thesis at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Natural landscapes are my favorite things to draw and before creating this series I had been looking at a lot of Bruegel and Andrew Wyeth. I had also been thinking about the idea of a "sense of place".
