Legal Brief: Dua Lipa Sues Samsung Over Use of Her Image on TV Packaging

Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million federal lawsuit in California against Samsung, accusing the South Korean electronics giant of using her image on television packaging without her authorization. The singer's lawyers accused Samsung of infringing her copyright and trademark rights, as well as violating her “right of publicity,” according to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for Central California, notes The New York Times. Exhibitions: A New Light on Francesca Woodman's Haunting Images

On view through July 31 at the Gagoasian gallery in Rome, the exhibition “Francesca Woodman: Lately I Find a Sliver of Mirror Is Simply to Slice an Eyelid” sheds a new light on the haunting work by the photographer who died by suicide in 1981 at age 22, notes The New York Times. Panasonic’s newly announced Lumix L10 is essentially a fully modernized version of its LX100 camera, employing  the company's latest 26.5-megapixel Four Thirds sensor and featuring a version of the 24-75mm equivalent f/1.7-2.8 lens from the LX100. Art News: How the Library of Congress Preserved 175K FSA Photos, 'One Picture at a Time'
