Matt Dinerstein, a veteran unit still photographer who worked on movies and TV series,, died May 1 of cancer in Chicago. He was 69, notes Deadline. Dinerstein worked for more than two decades on shows including Season 1 of The Bear, where his images conveyed the intensity and authenticity of the FX dramedy’s show’s Chicago kitchen setting. British-Iranian artist Aria Shahrokhshah’s long-term project Wet Ground captures how it feels when your country is dragged into a war, notes The Guardian. The work has now been collected in a book from publisher Loose Joints. Developed through repeated stays living and volunteering in Ukraine since 2019, Shahrokhshahi's images often focus on youth and subculture finding ways to survive and thrive, reflecting “the radical and improvised paths life in Ukraine takes in the present moment,” notes the publisher.
