Italian technology conglomerate Bending Spons is acquiring the video platform Vimeo for $1.38 billion, reports PetaPixel. Per the agreement, Bending Spoons will acquire Vimeo in an all-cash transaction and take Vimeo (VMEO), a public company, private. Vimeo shareholders will receive $7.85 per share in cash when the transaction closes. Once a significant player in the streaming video space, Vimeo has lost ground to other platforms, including YouTube. Recently, Vimeo has catered more toward business and enterprise users.

On view through Oct. 11 at London’s Flowers gallery is the exhibition “Nadav Kandor: After Dark,” which brings together three surprising bodies of work by the renowned photographer. Best known perhaps for his portraits of famous people, Kandor’s projects “Dark Line – The Thames Estuary,” “Colour Fields,” and “Treow (Trust and Promise)” feature what It’s Nice That calls emotive landscape photographs that transform how we see and feel landscape photography. “I do not see a big divide between a portrait and a landscape,” Kandor says.

Apple's newly unveiled iPhone lineup includes the ultra-thin iPhone Air, which, notes PetaPixel, does not "totally scrimp" on photo features. TechCrunch, on the other hand, thinks the new iPhone 17 Pro could be the device that makes content creators give up buying vlogging cameras, “[A] key difference here is that the new iPhone 17 Pro’s camera sensor is 56% larger than the iPhone 16 Pro’s,” notes TC, adding that the iPhone 17 Pro’s main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses are all 48 MP fusion cameras, making optical zoom possible at 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x.
