Google has announced its latest lineup of Pixel phones—the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, all of which feature some camera updates, upgraded Qi charging and, notes DP Review, plenty of AI-related features. The most notable change to the Pixel lineup's cameras is the addition of a telephoto camera on the Pixel 10. Another noteworthy addition is compatibility with the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA). Google says it is the first phone with C2PA Content Credentials built in. Meta is partnering with Midjourney to license the company’s AI image and video generation technology, Meta Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang announced in a post on Threads. Wang says Meta’s research teams will collaborate with Midjourney to bring its technology into future AI models and products. The Midjourney partnership could help Meta develop products that compete with industry-leading AI image and video models, such as OpenAI’s Sora, Black Forest Lab’s Flux, and Google’s Veo, notes TechCrunch. DarkSky International, which advocates against the effects of light pollution, has announced the winners of its 2025 Capture the Dark photography contest. The First Place prize goes to Photographer JJ Rao, who photographed a colossal display of red sprites above Derby, Australia. “I’ve read and heard about Red Sprites for a few years now and could have sworn I had seen a couple but it was nothing compared to this monster,” Rao said. This year’s contest drew more than 2,220 images from photographers in 22 countries.
