State of the Art: YouTube Shorts is Adding an Image-to-Video AI Tool

YouTube has announced that it’s giving Shorts creators access to new generative AI features, including an image-to-video AI tool and new AI effects. The image to video feature lets users turn a picture from their camera roll into a six-second video, noted The Verge. Users will see a selection of suggestions that are relevant to the photo they uploaded. YouTube says the feature can be used to add movement to landscape photos, animate pictures of everyday photos, or bring group photos to life.   Read the full Story >>

Industry News: Arri Owners Consider Selling Amid Film Business Woes

German cinema company Arri is looking at its options for its future at a time of mounting challenges, including a sale. The news comes shortly after Arri announced its new $55,000 Alexa 35 Xtreme cinema camera, notes Bloomberg. Since the covid pandemic and Hollywood writers strike in 2023, the film business has seen relatively fewer projects, which has harmed Arri’s business across the board, notes PetaPixel.
