On Aug. 3, Anna Delvey, the fake heiress who once scammed NYC elites and now has reinvented herself as an influencer,  posted photos on Instagram showing her with bunnies on a New York City sidewalk, an ankle monitor on her leg. But, reports The New York Times, the bunnies used in the shoot were apparently later dumped in an NYC park. It’s not clear who was in charge of the photo shoot, which took place outside the Franklin Street subway station in Lower Manhattan, notes The Times. Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, says she was “horrified” about the fate of the bunnies.   Read the full Story >>

Honor Roll: The reFocus Awards Color Photography Contest

UK-based photographer Liam Man's image of two ice climbers on a glacier looking at a solar eclipse is the overall winner of the 2025 reFocus Awards’ Color Photography Contest. Taken on Glacier Leones in Patagonia during a solar eclipse in 2024, the photo, titled “Ring of Fire and Ice,” was part of a larger project Man was working on with UNESCO and is a testament to his dedication as a photographer, notes My Modern Met. The eerie glow in the image comes from a lighting rig mounted to a drone.   Read the full Story >>

Media Watch: Google Claims AI Has Not Harmed Website Clickthroughs

In a recent blog post, Google’s VP, Head of Search Liz Reid claimed that the platform is seeing “slightly more quality clicks to websites than a year ago” following the launch of AI Overviews. In response, notes Press Gazette, "multiple SEO experts have pointed out that many websites are seeing declines in traffic as documented by the Google Search Console measurement tool, and that there are various surveys showing a drop in clickthroughs.” As we notedrecently, media insiders are worried about a “traffic apocalypse” due to Google’s AI Overviews.   Read the full Story >>

Exhibitions: Courtney Love's 'Women Who Photograph Music"

The exhibition “From Her To Eternity: The Women Who Photograph Music”  highlights “the so important role of Women in the music industry, both in front of and behind the camera,” notes Chicago’s Wabash Arts Corridor gallery, where the show is on view through Sept. 18. It was created and curated by one such woman, singer and actress Courtney Love, along with music writer Julie Panebianco, and brings together the work of 46 photographers, including Linda McCartney, Laura Levine, Ellen von Unwerth, and Katarina Benzova.   Read the full Story >>
