The exhibition “American, Born Hungary: Kertész, Capa, and the Hungarian American Photographic Legacy” focuses on what the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, NY, calls “the astounding impact of Hungarian-born artists on photography in the United States, especially in urban centers.” The exhibition (through March 1. 2026) features more than 150 images by photographers including Robert Capa, André Kertész, Nickolas Muray, Martin Munkácsi, and György Kepes, along with less familiar names.   Read the full Story >>

State of the Art: Creative Directors Are Embracing AI

Instead of spending millions and taking years to complete, creative directors are now producing high-grade work using the latest AI software, notes The Guardian. “TikTok, ads, trailers – anything like that – I will say will be majority AI-assisted by 2027,” said TV producer Richard Osman in a recent podcast. TG points to two films made by directors Samir Mallal and Bouha Kazmi—one an AI creation the U.S. attack on on Iranian nuclear sites and Ukraine’s drone attack on Russian bombers in June.   Read the full Story >>

Trending: LA Galaxy Bans Photographer Over 'Unapproved Banner' ICE Raids

Bruce Martin, a photographer and fan of the LA Galaxy, has been banned from the soccer club’s stadium indefinitely after being accused of carrying an unapproved banner criticizing the team’s ownership for its silence during ICE’s raids of Los Angeles. Martin is a photographer for the Angel City Brigade, a group of Galaxy supporters, notes the Los Angeles Times. Art News: US States Step Up to Fund the Arts in the Wake of Federal Cuts

With calls from the Trump administration to defund the National Endowments for the Arts (NEA) and Humanities (NEH), as well as the Institute of Museum and Library Services, state legislatures around the country have continued to provide funding for their arts and humanities agencies—if at a slightly diminished scale. While overall spending by states has decreased slightly, some state arts agencies, including those in Florida, North Dakota and Connecticut,  saw an increase, notes The Art Newspaper.   Read the full Story >>
