The Eastman Kodak Company, a brand as big in its heyday as Apple or Google today, has become a cautionary tale for companies slow to adapt to change. But, notes The New York Times, Kodak is having a moment again, mostly overseas, through trademark licensing agreements with manufacturers and retailers of a wide range of products. The company’s logo is being slapped on everything from apparel and luggage to solar panels, power generators, televisions, voice recorders and binoculars. This year’s Photo España festival (through Sept. 14) features more than 80 exhibitions scattered across all corners of Madrid, Spain. “Venues span from the lavish – the Royal Palace and the chandelier-heavy home of a 19th-century Marquis – to a repurposed water tower, a brutalist sawmill, and even a handful of the city’s trucks,” notes AnOther,  which spotlights some of the shows to look for. Social News: Top UK YouTubers Want Government Recognition of Digital Content Creators

Top YouTubers in the UK, including Amelia Dimoldenberg, Brandon B and Max Klymenko, have put their names to a first-of-its-kind report from YouTube calling for the government to formally recognize digital creators as a profession, reports Deadline. They are also seeking better access to finance and improved access to filming infrastructure. In 2023, YouTube research found that its creator ecosystem contributed more than £2B ($2.8B) to the UK economy and supported more than 45,000 jobs.   Read the full Story >>
