The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation's Environmental Photography Award was launched in 2021 with the aim of rewarding photographers who put their creativity to good use in raising awareness on Earth protection. Topping the winners of the award’s 2025 edition is Fernando Faciole for his image “After the Flames, Hope,” which shows a tapir rescued from wildfires in Braxil’s Pantanal region with severe burns on all four legs and his ears. Art News:National Endowment for the Arts Cancels Grants After Proposed Elimination of Agency

After President Donald Trump proposed eliminating the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the federal agency withdrew or canceled grant offers to arts organizations around the country, noted Art News earlier this month. Repercussions of the agency’s proposed defunding have continued over the following days. AN reports that regional arts organizations across the United States are speaking out against recent cuts made by the NEA. Meanwhile, senior leaders and other employees have left  the agency en masse.
