Adding to the already onerous task of finding employment, jobseekers are increasingly being forced to debase themselves by interviewing with glitchy, inhuman AI bots. But at least the whole thing makes good social-media fodder, notes Mashable, which reports that TikToks of people interviewing with artificial intelligence-powered "interviewers" have gone viral. Some of the videos are fake, but others are ridiculously real.

The Morgan Library & Museum Friday May 30, 2025
On view from May 30 through Sept. 14 at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York is the exhibition “Arresting Beauty: Julia Margaret Cameron," which explores the path-breaking career of photography’s first widely recognized artist. Organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the exhibition features works drawn from the V&A’s extensive holdings of nearly 1,000 of Cameron’s photographs—the largest and most comprehensive collection of her work in the world. Eight years after major brands and publications said they would no longer work with Terry Richardson, following a string of allegations of sexual misconduct made against the renowned fashion photographer, he now appears to be making a comeback. The latest issue Arena Homme+ magazine features two covers shot by Richardson and an accompanying portfolio, notes The Guardian. One cover consists of an image of a toilet cubicle graffitied with the text “Punk rock ruined my life.” Another is a shot of a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump’s face.

Some time between Christmas 2021 and early January 2022, photographer Yousuf Karsh’s iconic portrait of a scowling, wartime Winston Churchill was stolen from Ottawa's Château Laurier hotel and replaced it with a fake. Now, reports the CBC, the Canadian man behind the heist, Jeffrey Wood, has been sentenced to two years less a day in custody. Karsh, a longtime resident of the Château Laurier, gave the portrait to the hotel in 1998. It has now been returned to the hotel following its disappearance and the international hunt that followed.
