One morning in 2019, photographer Vincent “Steetadelic” Pflieger  was walking to his studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, when a shiny reflection at his feet caught his eye. Leaning over to get a closer look at it, he quickly realized that it was a small plastic zip-loc baggie that had been used to hold cannabis. Art News: Justin Maxon Wins Guggenheim Fellowship for Project Exploring Opioid Addiction

Congratulations to photographer and Cal Poly Humbolt lecturer Justin Maxon, who is among the100th class of Guggenheim Fellows for a project exploring opioid addiction on the Hoopa Valley Reservation in California.
