Fashion retailer H&M will use artificial intelligence to create digital "twins" of 30 models for use in ads and social media, reports the BBC. "We are curious to explore how to showcase our fashion in new creative ways – and embrace the benefits of new technology – while staying true to our commitment to personal style," said H&M Chief Creative Officer Jörgen Andersson in a statement. Despite H&M's claim it would not change its "human-centric approach" some fear the move could impact other models, photographers and make-up artists, adds the BBC.

World Food Photography Awards Monday April 7, 2025
The World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini has announced the 2025 competition shortlist. Entries came from over 70 countries for this year’s competition, which, notes Amateur Photographer, “is regarded as the world’s greatest celebration of food photography.” The winners of the 25 categories will be revealed on Tuesday May 20 in London at the competition’s Champagne Taittinger Awards Evening. The top winner will take home a prize of £5,000 (about $6,580).

Fort Worth Report Monday April 7, 2025
Prompted by allegations of child pornography at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, police seized four of Sally Mann’s photographs from an exhibition there in January. A grand jury declined to take action against Mann and the case was closed, but now, reports the Fort Worth Report, a Tarrant County lawmaker is proposing a law outlining the types of artworks that should be barred from museums. Rep. David Lowe’s bill would create a civil penalty against museums that display “certain obscene or harmful material.”
