Tech News: Nikon's Z5II Is a $1,700 Entry-Level Powerhouse

Nikon’s newly announced  Z5 II is a 24-megapixel full-frame camera built around a 24MP BSI CMOS sensor that packs performance and costs $1,700, notes PC Mag. It’s an update of Nikon’s entry-level Z5, which debuted way back in 2020 at $1,399.95, at the time an aggressively low price for a full-frame camera, especially one with features typically reserved for upmarket models. After working at two royal weddings, Queen Elizabeth's funeral, the coronation of King Charles and the birth of three royal babies, freelancer Zak Hussein recently talked with Sky News about what it's like being a royal photographer, including how much he makes. “My salary is totally dependent on picture sales,” he notes. “If you are a staff photographer at a photo agency you will start on a low salary... maybe £18-20k…. State of the Art: Midjourney Introduces Its First New Image Generation Model in Over a Year

Midjourney's newest AI image generator, dubbed V7,  is a “ground-up rework” available in alpha now, reports Ars Technica. It’s also the first new image-generation model in over a year from the company, which once, adds PetaPixel,  was once at the forefront of the technology.  V7 promises much higher coherence and consistency for hands, fingers, body parts, and "objects of all kinds,” notes AT.
