DHL Express is suspending deliveries to the US worth more than $800 because of a "significant increase" in red tape at customs following the introduction of Donald Trump's new tariff regime. Previously, packages worth up to $2,500 could enter the US with minimal paperwork; now the threshold has been lowered, notes the BBC. DHL says it is working to "scale up and manage this increase, shipments worth over $800, regardless of origin, may experience multi-day delays.”

Tay-K (Taymor McIntyre) has been sentenced to 80 years in prison after being found guilty by a Texas jury for the 2017 murder of photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar, notes Rolling Stone. McIntyre, previously convicted of another murder, was part of a group who picked up Saldivar, 23, in San Antonio for a photo shoot that was supposed to take place at a nearby mall. While in the car, Saldivar is said to have been robbed at gunpoint for his camera equipment and fatally shot following the altercation.

Persuading people to spend money in a time of unpredictable tariffs is proving to be a complicated calculation for the $380 billion American advertising industry, reports The New York Times. Major companies were left in the lurch this month as the administration declared new tariffs, soon imposed them, reversed course a few days later and then doubled down on targeting China. Now those advertisers feel “paralyzed,” says Jay Pattisall, an analyst at the research firm Forrester. Bottom line on ad campaigns: Many companies are on “wait and see” mode.
