The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is facing a lawsuit over allegations that it illegally displayed a copyrighted image of Van Halen, notes Billboard. The lawsuit is the latest of more than 50 such cases filed by veteran rock photographer Neil Zlozower over the past decade. In a complaint filed in Ohio federal court, attorneys for Zlozower said the Rock Hall never paid to license the photographer's black-and-white photo of late-70’s Van Halen in the recording studio before blowing it up into an eight-foot-tall display in the Cleveland museum.

As we noted earliet this month, the British photojournalist Paul Lowe was founded dead on a Southern California hiking trail, and his son was subsequently charged with his murder. At the British Journal of Photography, Lowe's friend and colleague Max Houghton pays tribute to him. “From the fall of the Berlin Wall, to the Russian incursion into Grozny, Chechnya, to the Somalia famine in 1992, Paul was there, to document for the record; to offer the first visual draft of history,” writes Houghton. As an educator, he adds, Lowe influenced a generation of photographers.

In an interview with French publication Phototrend, Franck Bernard, the director of the imaging division of Fujifilm France, said that Fujifilm is the leader in the camera market that does not include full-frame cameras, possessing “around 40% market share.” While Fujifilm is a major player in the APS-C space with its X Series cameras, the company’s GFX medium-format system also comprises part of this 40%, explains PetaPixel: Of all Micro Four Thirds, APS-C, and medium-format digital cameras, plus some other niche offerings with other sensor sizes, Fujifilm has a significant piece of the total pie.
