Tech News: Canon's RF-Mount C400 Cine Cam Is a 'Mic Drop'

Canon is shaking things up with its newly announced EOS C400—the company’s first full-frame RF mount cinema camera. Digital Camera World calls the cine cam both a “bombshell” and a “mic drop.” Cine D  notes that the C400 can record in Cinema RAW Light at up to 6K/60P onto CFexpress memory cards, has a new 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD monitor, HDMI and SDI output ports “and much more.” Unlike Canon’s two previous RF cinema cameras, the EOS R5C and the EOS C70, the new model’s traditional, boxy cine cam design is “ripe for system expansion and rigging,” adds PetaPixel.   Read the full Story >>

State of the Art: Klarna CEO Says AI Lets Him Spend Less on Photography

The CEO of finance company Klarna is facing a backlash after saying that AI has let him spend less on photography. Sebastian Siemiatkowski made the comment in a since-deleted tweet, notes Business Insider. “We’re spending less on photographers, image banks, and marketing agencies,” Siemiatkowski bragged, adding, “Our in-house marketing team is HALF the size it was last year but is producing MORE!” Siemiatkowski’s comments have been roundly criticized for apparently boasting about job losses, adds PetaPixel.   Read the full Story >>
