Photographer Nan Goldin says she has called off a project for The New York Times Magazine, accusing the newspaper of a pro-Israel bias in its reporting on Gaza. (She said the project was “a cover shoot of a musician I admire,” notes Art News.) A Times spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment. Goldin earlier signed an open letter published by Artforum that called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Palestinian liberation. She criticized that magazine for firing its editor, David Velasco, after the publication of the letter.

When the Artemis III mission lands near the south pole of the moon in a few years, astronauts will be equipped with a brand-new camera for images and videos. The prototype Handheld Universal Lunar Camera, currently being tested, is made from off-the-shelf camera parts, high-quality lenses, and NASA’s bespoke modifications to make it moon-proof. notes IFL Science. Apollo astronauts used mechanical Hasselblad cameras to shoot 1,407 photos on the Moon. The Artemis III mission alone is likely to take more pictures than that but because the camera will allow for more images to be captured and stored.
