Swiss photographer Markus Klinko is known for his work with celebrities, and his early career images of musicians—from David Bowie and Beyoncé to Britney Spears and Mariah Carey—“are seen as aughts-defining masterworks,” declares Artnet. A onetime classical harpist, Klinko turned to photography because of a hand injury. His career took off after Bowie asked him to shoot the cover art for his album “Heathen” in 2001. Klinko went on to shoot the cover of Beyonce’s debut solo album, “Dangerously in Love.”

Adobe has unveiled a new platform for its Firefly generative AI model that’s designed to help businesses address the growing demand for content creation, notes The Verge. The new platform, Adobe Firefly for Enterprise, allows every employee within a company — regardless of their creative skills — to instantly generate images or copy from text-based descriptions, which can then be used in marketing campaigns, social media promotions, corporate presentations, and more. “Aside from its assured commercial viability, Firefly’s explosive popularity — largely fueled by its high-quality results — will likely hold plenty of appeal for businesses,” adds TV.

Visual journalism is often the first cut in struggling local newsrooms, but the fellowship program from CatchLight, a nonprofit media organization combining the practices of art, journalism and social justice aims, aims to revitalize it, notes Poynter. The program pairs its Fellows with community-based news organizations in underrepresented markets and provides them with training. “[C]ommunication has never been more visual with the advent of social media,” says Jenny Stratton, managing editor and director of the program.
