Canon has expanded its lineup of mirrorless cameras, officially announcing two new models, the EOS R8, the company's latest mid-level full-frame mirrorless camera, and the EOS R50, an entry-level, compact APS-C mirrorless camera meant to attract smartphone users and vloggers. At just $1,500, this camera is more than $1,000 less expensive than the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, notes PetaPixel, which says it’s “a terrific second camera for the pro and could even work as a primary camera for many wedding and event photographers.” DP Review has reviews of both the R8 and R50.

Hasselblad has shuttered its East Coast-based operations, including its entire New Jersey service center. The camera company’s U.S. headquarters and all of its service work has been moved to its Burbank, California, center, which it now shares with DJI. Hasselblad first alerted customers that there would be a transition of service from New Jersey to Burbank last November. The company said that any in-process repairs would be shipped from New Jersey to California.

“The [Lower East Side] and East Village are a big part of my identity,” says photographer and filmmaker Adam Zhu. “Being from there gave me a strong sense of diversity, creativity and community.” Zhu’s new book Nice Daze, documents a new era of downtown New York youth culture, spanning skateboarding, hip-hop, jazz and graffiti over the past decade, notes iD. “I wanted to share my story and perspective and that line through the various subcultures that were surrounding me,” Zhu says.
