Tech News: TTArtisan's $159 27mm F/2.8 Lens for Fujifilm X-Mount Cameras

TTArtisan’s newest lens is also its first for Fujifilm X-Mount cameras, notes DP Review. The new 27mm f/2.8 XF lens features fully electronic control for both aperture and focus, but it can be used as a manual lens for manual aperture selection and manual focus using the integrated rings. There’s an integrated chip so all EXIF data is sent back to compatible X-mount cameras. The lens lacks a built-in connection for upgrading firmware but comes with a separate rear lens cap dock with an integrated USB-C connection for updating firmware. Honor Roll: Africa Wildlife Foundation Photo Contest Winners

US-based photographer Michelle Kranz’s image of a pensive mountain gorilla with blazing orange eyes is the top prize winner in the 2022 Benjamin Mkapa African Wildlife Photography Awards, notes CNN, which features a portfolio of the contest’s category winners. The photo competition, launched by the African Wildlife Foundation in 2021, is named after the late President of Tanzania, who devoted much of his time to conservation education in Africa. Art News: Meta Is Testing A Way to Mint and Sell NFTs on IG

Meta has announced that it’s testing a featuring allowing creators to mint and sell NFTs on Instagram. The company is also expanding Instagram’s NFT showcase feature, which it recently made available to users in over 100 countries, notes The Verge. Meta says its “digital collectibles” toolkit will let people create NFTs on the Polygon blockchain and then sell them either on Instagram or off the platform. State of the Art: Google AI App Complicates Copyright Worries
