Passings: Acclaimed Newspaper Photographer Eamonn McCabe Dies at 74

Eamonn McCabe, one of the most celebrated and admired newspaper photographers and picture editors of his generation, died on Oct. 2 at age 74, reports The Guardian, one of the newspapers McCade worked with. The war photographer Don McCullin described McCabe as a lovely and straightforward man. “He was very passionate about photography and whenever you dealt with him he was always honest and a very nice human being. Spotlight: Changing the Perception of Alopecia

The short-documentary and photo series “I Like Your Hair” aims to educate people about alopecia—an autoimmune condition that damages hair follicles and causes hair loss — and to support those who live with it. The project, notes NPR, features personal anecdotes from four New York City area women with alopecia—Jennifer Gadosky, Alison Mann, Faith Williams and Jenny Jobson.
