Tech News: Adobe Premiere Adds Vertical Video Features and More

Adobe has announced an update to Premiere Pro that adds a slew of new features and performance improvements, including a new Vertical Video workspace that makes it easier to edit vertical video, new GPU-accelerated effects (Magnify, replicate, Spherize and Wave), improved H.264 and HEVC encoding on Apple silicon, and support for RED’s V-RAPTOR camera system. Spotlight: Changing the World's View of Black Families

Rashod Taylor knows he is raising a son in a country that is not always kind to Black men and boys, notes CNN. Taylor, a portrait photographer based in Springfield, Missouri, channels this fear by taking photos of his son LJ doing doing ordinary things, hoping to change the way the world views black families. There is a "tender, loving and caring" side that isn't always shown in the media, he said. "You don't see positive images of Black families and Black fathers present with their kids," Taylor said.
